Ramblings and rants.
Ramblings and rants.
Got something to tell? Need to vent? Let's go.
I don't like being back in the Netherlands already. My Scottish vacation was too short and I must return to the Highlands. And so does the missus, so we're already looking for a place where we can do a second stint of the Haggis lands.

I remember the incident with the bird.

Wordle is not dead yet. NYT suggested I make a puzzle and share it. So here goes
You're invited to play a puzzle created by ThePossum.
The clue is: "Betraying my passion hobby"

Wordle puzzle created by ThePossum X/6

Just too many options. Also I play where you have to make a guess that could win at every step (hardcore I think it is called).

Something kinda sad about the ways that things have come to be. Desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety? How can this mean anything to me if I really don't feel anything at all?
I'll keep digging 'til I feel something.

Interesting science news with significant implications involving the discovery of sugars, a mysterious βgum-likeβ substance, and an unusually high abundance of supernova dust in samples from NASAβs OSIRIS-REx mission.
The sugars, including ribose and glucose, are essential for life on Earth, suggesting that the building blocks of life may have originated in space.
Where did this stuff come from? The likely story, according to my AI assistant, is that primitive organics in Bennu probably formed before planets existed, through chemistry on icy dust grains exposed to cosmic radiation in interstellar space. These molecules were later incorporated into an early asteroid, where mild heating and water helped assemble more complex compounds. Asteroids like Bennu then acted as delivery systems, bringing lifeβs ingredients to young planets like Earth.

I'm sure I'm not saying something that each of you don't already know and suffer where you live. But I absolutely HATE holiday traffic!!!!!!
I get to leave work at 4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and once every three weeks I stop and pick up a pizza to take home. The pizza place is 2.5 miles away from work. It's to the west of us which is the heavy traffic direction so it usually takes me a little longer anyway but I'm usually back home by 5pm. Tonight it took me 55 minutes!!!! Even the back roads that I take to get back home were packed.
