I watched something similar a few weeks ago:



They make it look so easy
They have a whole team do this so fast.

It would take a while lifetime for me to do alone.

Why is it so hard for us to do the same and it would cost 3 times more than just getting a new car, but sometimes, most of the times, I don't want a new car ...

There must a be a business model somewhere for keeping our old cars for cheap .. it shouldn't be so costly to keep rather than creating more trash....

As someone who has done just a tiny bit of this (my cars are '93, '93, '98, '04, '08 ,'15), I can tell you that it's far easier to do if you can get parts. Auto manufacturers want to stop making parts for cars that are a quarter century old for a few people to buy. It's just not cost effective.

I've watched M539restorations. He mainly does BMWs, but looks like he's dabbled with a Maserati and Mercedes lately. He does a lot of the work himself, but gets other places involved when needed. There's something satisfying about seeing old cars restored properly. Part of it is probably that the new cars being sold aren't too interesting.

He is my favorite
I am fan of old Bmws and am probably the same age as him, or at least has the same taste in cars as him....
He has traveled to and lived in California where I am now and have also gone back and forth to the old continent, just like him
So philosophically, I feel I have the same mentality as him

So a lot of what he does, I would have done the same....
Been watching his videos for years now and enjoy them very much.

I love Matt's Offroad Recovery. He's based out of Southern Utah and some of the recoveries he does are pretty amazing.


I've been a fan of Expedition Overland for years as well. I've met most them at various shows and they're all super into Toyota's. The production quality on their videos is really high too and they go to some pretty cool places. They've driven the entire Pan American highway as well as other neat places.

Most of the car channels I subscribe to involve racing. There are two in particular that I really like. The first one is Robbert Alblas. His channel mainly focuses on classic race cars. He gets exceptional sound and video on these cars. How he doesn't have a million subscribers or more I'll never know. Here are a couple of examples.

First, the V10 equipped Peugeot 905 at Spa



And a Porsche 911 RSR racing in the Nurburgring 24 Hours Classic



The other one I watch a lot is 19Bozzy92. This channel does have a lot of race cars but there is a mix between classic and modern cars. They have inside access to a lot of the European tracks when they have track days or test days. They also go to hill climbs and other non track related car events. They have garage access so they show the cars closeup and in detail in addition to on the track.

And at the Bernina Hill Climb. A really eclectic mix of cars in this one.
