Formula 1 Signs Exclusive US Streaming Deal With Apple TV

The 5 year partnership starts in 2026, deepens Apple’s investment in Formula 1 after the huge financial success of F1: The Movie.

Personally, I really welcome this move since I already find Apple TV+ to be compelling, and am a keen follower of F1

I've never had anything Apple. I guess I'm going to have to have something Apple now. I'm wondering if they are going to have their own crew or do like ESPN did and piggyback off of Sky's coverage. Crofty can be a little annoying at times but he doesn't drive me crazy like he does for some others.

I don't know if it's because they knew they were losing the coverage but ESPN has been a bit lazy in recent races. For like three out of five races or something like that there was no English language replay for qualifying, only Spanish. I don't have twitter or Instagram or any of that b***s*** and they don't seem to have an email address but they do have that chat with an agent thing on their contact us page. Of course it's probably AI and not a person but it seems like a person. I was very angry about missing qualifying and "chatted" with an agent who said yes there was an English language replay and sent me a link. It was for free practice 3 not qualifying. That's how clueless they can be at times.

As someone with the F1 TV app, this is all confusing to me. It seems like you have to buy an Apple TV subscription and you get the the app "for free", but you can't have the standalone app.

I enjoy watching the massive archive and I hope that's still part of the deal. I watch the old races during workout time on the treadmill and elliptical, or when on after-hours desk duty.

I rarely watch qualifying and free practice, and almost none of the pre/after-race talk shows.
